Epcot World Showcase

Epcot's World Showcase represents the culture, architecture and culinary experiences of 11 countries.  Each of the 11 pavilions is staffed by people from the country it represents.  No where else can one capture the essence of so many countries in one day.

At various times throughout the day, street performers present shows, acrobatics, music, dancers, and other entertaining antics.  Look beyond the impressive architecture for a few big-screen shows within, art galleries, restaurants and shops.

Entrance can be gained at the back of Future World at either end of the 1.3 mile semi-circle with Canada at one side and Mexico at the other.  A short, but pleasant trip across the lagoon by ferry is also available.

Canada

A fair amount of Canada's diversity is represented ranging from a 30' totem pole and log cabin signifying the culture of the Northwest to a replica of Ottawa's Victorian-style Chateau Laurier Hotel.  Experience the grandeur in the spectacular "O Canada" CircleVision 360° film.  Shop at the Northwest Mercantile and La Boutique des Provinces.  Dine at Le Cellier Steakhouse restaurant serving seafood and steaks along with wine and beers from Canada.

United Kingdom

Walk on cobblestone streets among quaint buildings including a 1500s-style thatched-roof cottage and various historical British architecture.  Browse the shops for British toys at The Toy Soldier, unique clothing at the Sportsman Shoppe and English perfumes and soaps at the Queen's Table.  Taste traditional English fare including fish and chips and bitter beer at the Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Room.

France

Stroll the streets of "Paris" from La Belle Époque with a tenth scale Eiffel Tower in the background.  See "Impressions de France"  - a film of the beautiful countryside.  Explore shops offering designer perfumes, soaps, cosmetics and wines.  Enjoy a croissant or pastry at the Boulangerie Patisserie, or choose from two restaurants including the Bistro de Paris for an intimate, traditional French dining experience and Les Chefs de France for French culinary specialties.

Morocco

Two contrasting cities are presented - the Ville Nouvelle (new city) and the tiled court yards of the Medina (old city).  Wander the plaza with shops featuring handmade crafts, Rabat carpets, leather sandals, beautiful brass pots and planters.  Try Moroccan cuisine such as couscous, roast lamb or brochette of chicken at the Restaurant Marrakesh while enjoying the entertainment from beautiful belly dancers.

Japan

Serene Japanese gardens and koi-filled ponds set the tone as an authentic five-tiered pagoda looms above.  Shops offer kimonos, authentic Japanese apparel, toys, Bonsai trees and wind chimes.  Sit around large grills at the Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki Dining Room to watch amazing performances as chefs prepare your food.  Also available is fresh sushi.  For those looking for a quick bit to eat, visit the Yakitori House for beef and chicken skewers and sushi rolls.
