Kids can dress up in their scariest costume and trick-or-treat among friendly sea witches, mermaids, pumpkin fish and octopuses or dance with an ice witch. They will follow maps to 15 treasure stations offering many treats.

Disney Parks Honor Your Birthday

Your birthday 2009

Disney has announced that it will honor you on your birthday in 2009 with free admission to any of its parks. It's part of Disneys new campaign to promote its theme parks as the perfect place to spend your birthday and special occasions. Some of the restaurants will even help you celebrate with free birthday cake.

Daytona 500

February

Daytona Beach is host to the most prestigous race in NASCAR - The Daytona 500. This race kicks off the NASCAR Sprint Cup season every February with Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway. This race is 500 miles long (200 laps) on a 2.5 mile superspeedway.

 

Coke Zero 400

July

Dont miss the awesome fireworks display after the Coke DIS Zero 400 race (formerly Pepsi 400). This is NASCAR's most exciting nighttime race held at Daytona International Speedway (Daytona Beach) every July either the Saturday before or after Fourth of July. This race is 400 miles (160 laps).

 

Football

Raymond James Stadium hosts many football games during the season including teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, Carolina Panthers, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers,etc. This year Ramond James Stadium will host the first pre-season game between the Bucs and the New England Patriots. It will also host SuperBowl XLIII on February 1, 2009.

 

Monster Jam

January or February

Once a year, the monster trucks converge on Raymond James Stadium and run thru the mud or over cars and trucks to the delight of many fans young and old alike.

 

Theme Parks and Amusement Parks

Florida is definately the home of theme parks and amusement parks with Orlando being host to such attractions as Disney - Magic Kingdom where fantasy comes alive. Seaworld where you are invited to join the undersea world. Busch Gardens and Lowry Park Zoo where you can see animals from all over the world. Lion Country Safari where you can drive amongst the lions, rhinos, giraffes, etc in your own car. Discovery Cove where you can swim with the magnificent dolphins. You can ride rollercoasters to your hearts content at the many amusement parks.
